The Iron Ladies Program

This program is perfect for women who want to start strength training, but don’t know where or how to begin. Who feel uncomfortable in most gyms. Who no longer want to just “do random exercises” and finally want to approach training the right way.

After the age of 30, if we don’t do strength training, we lose between 3 and 8% of our muscle mass every 10 years. This leads to reduced mobility and gradual weight gain. Strength training is needed to counter the expected muscle loss, so we can continue to move well, even when we become elderly. In addition, strength exercise is highly beneficial for both physical and mental well-being during perimenopause. More than enough reasons to become familiar with strength training.

This 10-week course is specifically designed for women aged 30+ who:

  • want to become stronger
  • want to feel more confident in the gym
  • and want to understand what they are doing (and why)

What to expect

In 10 weeks, you will learn:

  • The fundamentals of strength training (squat, hinge, push, pull, carry)
  • How to train safely and avoid injuries
  • How to maintain mobility and flexibility
  • How getting stronger actually works
  • How to do a workout independently
  • How to create simple training programs yourself
  • You will receive a digital handout after every class, so you don’t have to remember everything all at once.

And most importantly:
You’re going to feel comfortable in the gym. You’ll feel like you belong there because you know exactly what you’re doing!

  • Dates: Wednesdays from 2 September to 2 November 2026
    OR Sundays from 6 September to 8 November 2026
  • Group size: max. 8 participants
  • Location: Train With Iron, Haparandaweg 154, Amsterdam
  • Michelle Hinds is a bilingual Dutch native. To make this program inclusive, sessions are in English if a participant does not speak Dutch. The handouts will be distributed in both Dutch and English.

Investment

This program costs €249 per ticket. The early bird price is €199, available until 31 July 2026. So make sure to sign up in time!
